Stone Yard, Inc.
Stone Yard founder and head designer Mitch Brean collects inspiration from several sources that influence our exclusive designs. Our original stone-like pieces and customization capabilities are what makes us unique, and what draws our discerning clientele looking for handcrafted statement pieces such as: fireplace mantels, exterior sofas & chairs, decorative planters or other furnishings.
Suku Jar
Suku Jar
Primitive personality abounds in the delightfully rustic Suku jar. This uniquely organic cast stone creation is our modern version of an ancient relic. With its irregular shape and crude textural surface, these contemporary large planters are a refreshing allusion to primitive cultures- both ancient and today’s- who created functional works of art without the use of sophisticated tools. This generously sized primitive planter vase has the look of a fully hand formed piece, though it is cast from modern GFRC and hand texturized. Add an interesting accent feature to tribal, tropical, eclectic, or contemporary décor with the Suku tall planter. Its rough surface treatment and smooth lip are a fine compliment to deep hued cut flowers like lilies, irises, and roses.
